Eye-catching G-SHOCK designs feature Fine Wind, Clear Morning, one of the woodblock prints from the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji series of landscapes for which master ukiyo-e artist Hokusai, and Japan itself, is known far and wide.

In this collection of works, Hokusai takes Mt. Fuji, the unmistakable symbol of Japan, as his subject, depicting the awe-inspiring mountain from 36 different views. These illustrious prints not only earned the master woodblock artist worldwide acclaim, but even forged a whole new ukiyo-e genre — landscape prints.

Only a beloved classic like the digital DW-5600 is bold enough to highlight Hokusai’s iconic works, which take center stage on the dial. Press the light button to see 日本, the Japanese characters for Japan, appear. These same Japanese characters are engraved on the case back, as well.
